Old Shep's face was used in the Farmers and Stockbreeders magazine advertising Cooper MacDougall's sheep product.
As a child Alban remembers sleeping in a shepherds hut at lambing time, it had a little stove but this was mainly to keep any lambs warm that needed looking after, not much else for comfort but some straw for a bed. Never the less Alban found it very exciting.
