The Cottage Gardens

Examples of craftsmanship and imagination abound in the holiday cottage gardens. The jousting tent - complete with thrones and shields - was inspired by a visit to a local garden near Bath. Also in the medieval style is the Guardrobe, built to house a washroom for TV crews and visitors who come to the National Gardens open days.

Tucked away in the garden are also several fairy houses, with some built into trees and others trickier to find.
